Showing a TB Ex racehorse
Question:
Hi Claire,
I would be grateful for some advice. I have a TB Ex racehorse that I would like to show at local, then county and possibly the SEIB Racehorse to Riding Horse class. I am planning on wearing brown tweed, beige coloured browband and brown tack with pelham.
Also, what quarter markers are correct for riding horse?
Any other advice very welcome!
Answer from Claire:
Your clothes sound fine and the horses tack good, but you could use a bright brow band ie red and white. As for a nummah you could use a sheepskin one cut to the shape of the saddle which would be better than a square one. When you plait him, use large loose plaits to try and make the neck bigger. We prefer sharks teeth quarter marks.
Hope this will help you.
Claire
