North Hereford Hunt point-to-point at Brampton Bryan this Sunday (22nd)

For the first time, the North Hereford Hunt point-to-point will be held at the historic Brampton Bryan course this Sunday.

The beautiful riverside course on the Herefordshire border is popular with both participants and spectators, and has a diligent clerk-of-the-course in Wayne Tuffin.

“We’re really looking forward to the meeting,” enthused secretary, Hilary Bubb. “There are 124 entries for the seven carded races, which include the Timico Mixed Open, the last opportunity to qualify for the Final at Cheltenham. I’ve walked the course, and Wayne has done a marvellous job, not a mark on it!”

The point-to-point action is preceded by two very popular pony races, for which there are 17 entries, which will be off at 1pm.

The course (SY7 0JT) is on the A4113 between Leintwardine and Knighton. Entrance to the scenic venue is £10 per person, under 16’s and car parking free. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead at all times.
