More InformationThe time has come to sell my beloved little box so I can get a bigger one. She has done sterling service over the last 4 years, doing everything from 5 minute trips to the local manege, through hunting meets, fun rides, and the races, to a couple of long distance journeys for big competitions. She runs superbly, and is both easy and comfortable to drive. We have travelled horses of all types up to 17.3hh no problem and with room to spare. The horse area is nice and low, making the ramp a gentle gradient and not too steep; we have had a lot of success with loading problem horses in this box.
I don’t know much in the way of vehicle parts but fortunately we have a lovely garage who does. They say her engine is really good, and actually better than the newer model. She’s just had a couple of grands worth of work this year to make sure she is safe and sound. They have just re-clad the horse area wall, resealed the top, and checked through for rot in the floor. On the underside, the sills have been redone and undersealed on both sides front to back, and a new front outer CV joint. There are 4 brand new tyres, new rear wheel cylinder, new windscreen wipers fitted, and brakes and brake fluid have been replaced. She had a new battery last year, a new radiator, and a fancy roof vent to stop the horses getting hot and steamy inside.
The horse area apparently is a good one as it has big steel beams in the side which will protect the horse in the event of a side impact. The barrier between the horse area and the cab is extra strong so in the event of any crash, you have no chance of your horse going through and crushing you.
Visually she does have a few scratches on the outside paintwork, and some of the stickers have peeled a little which the price reflects. She can be grouchy to start up but I have never been unable to start her; the heater coils need a few activations to warm up properly before attempting to start the engine. I believe this is because we don’t use her enough. The MOT is current until next august, no advisories, and her current mileage is about 111882. She is stored on hard standing in a barn.
I am told this is a very good little box who will hold her value, give good service for many years to come.
