Equine Massage and Human Sports Massage

Equine massage is the therapeutic application of professional massage techniques applied to horses. Small muscle injuries can take up to 90 days to become apparent by which time they may have caused more serious injury. Prompt attention to those "minor" muscle injuries not only enhances a horse's performance but may prevent future problems. It helps to improve the rate of recovery from injury by increasing circulation and reducing muscular tension and stress, the primary causes of muscle injury. Equine Massage is also of great value for mental relaxation for the horse and the prevention of muscle atrophy.

Human Sports Massage is used to help alleviate stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. It is also used to treat minor and niggling injuries that can get in the way of performance and achievement.    For further information or an appointment, p lease telephone: 01432 340423

Shiatsu for People, Horses & Dogs

Shiatsu is a form of acupressure, a sister therapy to acupuncture. Instead of needles we use our hands, using pressure, stretches and articulations to bring about beneficial effects. Shiatsu is profound at putting the elasticity back into the muscles and rebalancing the body as a whole; physically, mentally and emotionally. Easing all aches, pain, stresses and strains; alleviating all muscle problems from behavioural based to training problems. For further info on treatments and courses call Jacqueline Cook ‘Shiatsu Master Teacher’ (who brought Shiatsu Therapy for Horses to the UK in 1996 then Pioneered it for Dogs in 1998) on 01547 530871 or 07721 739973

Free Equine Shiatsu massages whist I am training to be a practitioner. Although the treatments are free, I ask for a donation towards fuel and/or a donation towards winter feed for the Camnant rescue horses. People can call me on 01597 840456. If there is a lot of travel required it would be good to have a few horses to do! (I am based near Newtown in Powys)

Hot/Cold and Magnetic Therapy for Horses, Riders and their Dogs
