RoR & BD – Racehorse to Dressage Series 2012

British Dressage and RoR are working together more closely in 2012 with this Racehorse to Dressage series being run during 2012 from 1st January to 30th September. It is open to registered RoR horses which are ridden by British Dressage members and includes Prelim, Novice and Elementary classes. The Series culminates in a Final with a total prize fund of £2,000 and includes a rug for the winner of each. ANIMAL BEHAVIOUR THERAPIST – based in Herefordshire and covering surrounding areas.

I provide advice and practical help on starting youngsters, training horses, management issues and clicker training. Training sessions are on a one-to-one basis at your horse’s yard.

The proven scientific methods I use provide a modern method of training horses, which is kind and effective; as well as traditional methods. Training sessions generally include theory work to increase your understanding of equine learning and training; as well as practical work towards your goal.

I also provide consultations for behaviour problems such as loading, aggression, difficulties shoeing, clipping, grooming, ridden problems, handling problems and more.

I have a post graduate diploma in animal behaviour from the University of Southampton and a diploma in equine sports massage therapy, which gives me an understanding of the physical aspects of equine behaviour. I have a lifetime of experience with horses and compete at advanced level in endurance.

Small, friendly yard with individualised fields, manege, parking for trailer/lorry, gallop being developed for the summer. Stables are £25 a week, grass livery £15 a week. Bedding/haylage available to buy at a reduced rate.
