Can you spare some time to support the British Horse Society’s work by getting in touch or volunteering?

If so our Access and Bridleways Officers would love to hear from you!

Herefordshire has 2,100 miles of public rights of way of which only 263 miles (12%) are accessible to horse riders. We are working to ensure that these routes are clear, have sufficient and visible waymarkers and are safe to ride.  We are also working to find circular routes, and trying to expand the bridleway network to improve access.

We need your help to identify where bridleways need attention (even something as simple as replacing faded waymarkers) and it would be great if you could get in touch to let us know of any safe circular routes that you currently ride.  Please also let us know if you would be happy to spare a few hours to help with bridleway clearance!  Contact: Louise Devlin loudevlin@live.co.uk .  You can find more information on the work of the BHS on our website  www.bhs.org.uk.
