Equine Massage and Human Sports Massage

Equine massage is the therapeutic application of professional massage techniques applied to horses. Small muscle injuries can take up to 90 days to become apparent by which time they may have caused more serious injury. Prompt attention to those "minor" muscle injuries not only enhances a horse's performance but may prevent future problems. It helps to improve the rate of recovery from injury by increasing circulation and reducing muscular tension and stress, the primary causes of muscle injury. Equine Massage is also of great value for mental relaxation for the horse and the prevention of muscle atrophy.

Human Sports Massage is used to help alleviate stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. It is also used to treat minor and niggling injuries that can get in the way of performance and achievement.    For further information or an appointment, please telephone: 01432 340423 or Email: kingston.robbie@virgin.net
Free Equine Shiatsu massages whist I am training to be a practitioner. Although the treatments are free, I ask for a donation towards fuel and/or a donation towards winter feed for the Camnant rescue horses. People can call me on 01597 840456 or email me at julie@sorath.co.uk. If there is a lot of travel required it would be good to have a few horses to do! (I am based near Newtown in Powys)
