Success at Hickstead for Becky Goodwin

Becky Goodwin, 15 yrs, from Shobdon, near Leominster in Herefordshire, and her Connemara pony Finbar won the 138cm mountain and moorland working hunter class at the Royal International Horse Show held at Hickstead, a major achievement for anyone, let alone a family with totally home produced ponies. To crown an unbelievable week for the Goodwin family, they went to the National Pony Championships at Malvern where Becky and Finbar qualified for the Horse of the Year show in October. Her twin sister Kate also qualified and competed at the Royal International qualifying her welsh section B for the 3rd year running and is trying to get him and a new partnership with a Dartmoor through to the HOYS this year so fingers crossed for them both.
