Success for Herefordshire rider

Herefordshire rider Erin Cullimore (15) and her pony Tally Ho Toby won the Wales and West Mercia Junior 80cms League 2010 – 2011.  Points were awarded for wins and places in 80cms Open classes throughout the season.  “I didn’t realise we had so many points until we received the letter saying we’d won,” said Erin, “but, when I looked at his record, Toby had won pretty much every one he had entered and come second in the others.”  Their achievement is all the more outstanding as they have only been doing affiliated jumping since January 2011.

This year Erin and Toby have already qualified for the Discovery second rounds and are well on the way to qualifying for the Newcomers as well.  Her aims for this season are to qualify for the Scope Festival again and also HOYS.  She is now being trained by Olympic rider, Stephen Hadley.

“I’d also like to thank my sponsors, E and J Solutions Ltd.  Their support has been very helpful and we are looking for any other sponsors, however small,” she said.

Erin received her award at the British Show Jumping Awards Ball at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham at the end of October, which was attended by international riders such as Robert Whitaker, Tina Fletcher and David Broome.
