Pointers a Plenty for Hereford Racecourse Meeting next Saturday

The North Ledbury Point-to-Point next Saturday (14th) will be the only one in the Area to run on Hereford Racecourse this season, and has attracted 140 entries for the 8 races. The first point-to-point flat race in the region, sponsored by the JRL Group over two miles, has proved so popular that it has already been divided.

Sarah Oliver, who has had a Baptism of Fire in her first year as secretary for the fixture, will be hoping that her Green Winter will be able to assert his class on his seasonal debut in the Members Race.

Shropshire-based jockey, Alex Edwards will be hoping to extend his lead at the head of the National  Riders Championship, and has several opportunities to do so for the powerful Phillip Rowley stable.

The card will be preceded by two popular pony races at 12 noon with a full complement of runners.

Admission to the course (HR4 9QU) is £12.50 per person, under 16’s and car parking free .Regretfully due to racecourse policy ,no dogs are allowed.
