Leading physiotherapy group Bradford’s has moved into new offices in Malvern.
Bradford’s Veterinary Physiotherapy and its human clinic, Bradford’s Physiotherapy, have relocated from Ledbury to the Open Space Business Centre on Blackmore Park Road. Based at the new offices are Consultant Chartered Physiotherapists Tim and Rhiannon Bradford, along with their existing team of physios and office staff.
Rhiannon (MSc MCSP HCPC ACPAT), a Specialist Physiotherapist with 20 years experience, is the human clinical lead and will treat clients at the new base as well as managing the business’ canine physiotherapy caseload. She said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have moved into Malvern. It’s a fantastic base for our growing human physio client base and the canine work we do in partnership with linked Veterinary practices. It’s also the perfect central location from which Tim can access his equine cases. We’re looking forward to expanding our client base and continuing to offer our existing clients our bespoke physiotherapy programmes. We like to think of ourselves as a second or even third-tier service, solving long-term mobility issues for clients, sometimes when other practices have struggled to diagnose and effectively treat.”
Tim (MSc, MCSP, HCPC, ACPAT) has worked alongside some of the UK’s top orthopaedic surgeons in the NHS and private practice. He qualified as a Veterinary Physiotherapist at the Royal Veterinary College in London in 2006. He now specialises in equine physiotherapy and has undertaken consultancy work for the British Equestrian Federation (BEF) alongside helping to keep Olympic horses in peak condition prior to Rio 2016. He will organise his caseload from the new Malvern base, travelling to well-known clients across the country, treating complex musculoskeletal problems.
Tim has worked with many of the UK’s elite riders and their horses, including Carl Hester, Charlotte Dujardin, Spencer Wilton and Jonty Evans, as well as amateur riders and owners across the region. Even occasional trips into Europe to provide essential pre-purchase physiotherapy examinations have been known. He added: “Bradford’s is unique, in that we treat both horse and rider. Both Rhiannon and I have decades of experience working across the NHS and private practice, as well as our specialist equine experience. We like to think it’s what sets us apart.”
Tim and Rhiannon set up Bradford’s 13 years ago initially from their home in Yarkhill, Herefordshire, and the business has continued to grow steadily ever since. As well as a busy human caseload, the team works closely with vets across the region, who refer complex equine and canine cases for treatment. The team also writes bespoke programmes for sportsmen and women in disciplines ranging from skiing to cycling, running to golf, to optimise mobility and improve competition performance. “People think physiotherapy is something you should do post-injury or for long-term back problems,” said Rhiannon. “But for athletes and amateur sport enthusiasts, incorporating a physiotherapy programme into their training regime can actually prevent injury. We’re thrilled to be in Malvern and look forward to the next 13 years in business.”
