A group of local 5* riders and their supporters are swapping horses for bikes as they take on the 150 mile ride from Badminton House to Burghley House on what would have been Burghley weekend. The group will depart from the iconic Badminton House at 10am on Saturday, September 5th, stop at a pre-determined halfway point overnight before arriving at Burghley House at 4pm on Sunday, September 6th. All in aid of the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

The group, comprising riders, an owner, grooms and support crew, are Louise Harwood, Rosie Thomas, Alan Nolan, Bryony Wilson, Andrew Rogers, Carole Warren, Sasha Somer, Samantha Garness and Greg Harwood. Follow them on their very amusing Facebook page – www.facebook.com/groups/1164986060534520

The Midlands Air Ambulance Charity funds 3 helicopters serving West Midlands, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire & Welsh borders. Funded entirely by the public, it receives no Government or Lottery funding. £9 million is needed each year to keep it operational.
