More InformationFully papered Welsh Section C bay mare with black points, and black dorsal stripe for sale, aged 11 years. I bought Darcy for my daughter 6 years ago, but she gave up riding 4 years ago and has no sign of coming back! I've kept Darcy as companion and she has been kept in work, but she is wasted with us, and I have a new one coming soon. She is a full up 13.2, which makes her great as a small adult ride too, she feels like riding a small horse. She has excellent conformation, no scars or lumps so would be perfect for the showing ring, working hunter etc. She is good to catch, bath, mane pull, shoe, box and travel. She lives in winter so has good stable manners, but has been happy living out in the winter, she is shod in front only. She is up to date with her worming, vaccination and her teeth were looked at last autumn, no vices, or illness.
I have mainly hacked Darcy, she is great on the roads in company, lead file or behind others, good in traffic (we have lots of tractors passing where we live). She has done a lot of ride and lead (both being lead and being ridden). I don't have access to a ménage so she has not been schooled in a long time, but she's been started correctly and is responsive to the contact on the reins, leg yields etc, so she is not just a happy hacker. She's hunted (by me and friends), fun rides, bit of PC when daughter still used to ride. She's fun and forward to ride, has that familiar Sec C sharpness to her, so not suitable for a nervous child rider, she responds well to seat and leg when riding. She's ridden in a snaffle mouth, comes with bridle, and various wardrobe bits if wanted. I'm looking for a knowledgeable horse home for her where she can reach her potential. She's a lovely mare, would suit adult or confident teenage rider, it's important to me that she goes to the right home for her so buyer will be vetted. Price reflects her lack of development over last few years
