More InformationIdeal for Riding Club Home – has done it all! Owner 71 yrs is hanging up his spurs.
We have owned HB for 10 years, since he was five and he has been a pleasure to own and is a much loved versatile and willing horse, you can take him anywhere and do anything with him. He is a calm character with good manners and is a very handsome bay with black points.
He hacks out on his own on a regular basis and has seen all sorts of traffic and he is very good in company and with youngsters, not phased by low flying planes, helicopters, swans or geese.
HB loves to jump, that’s what he was bred for and has done many local fun rides and some hunting, would make an ideal happy hacker if that is all you want to do. Xc schooled and has regularly trained at various venues and has competed at Sapey, Chepstow and RC qualifiers.
Over the years we have shown him, ridden hunter and working hunter local competitions and have taken part in unaffiliated dressage and all Riding Club competitions. HB has been to Lincoln for RC National championships and stay away shows at David Broom centre and is quick to settle and enjoys himself. Competed last weekend at a local show and won Ridden Hunter and took part in his first veteran showing class and won that also.
He is good in all ways, farrier, clip, bathing, loading and travelling in lorry or trailer and easy to catch. Vaccinations are all up to date, dentist twice yearly and has physiotherapy sessions when the lady comes to the yard, to keep him in tip top condition.
HB is a favourite on our yard and has been ridden by most of the ladies on the yard, including complete beginners (under supervision). Ideal home would be someone who is looking for a horse to “get on and go - have some fun with”.
