On the 8th November Herefordshire event rider Louise (Wiggy) Harwood joins 10 other jockeys to ride in the British Horse Society’s 2018 inaugural Charity Race Day at Newbury Racecourse to raise funds for the BHS’s vital work. The race is a mile long flat race and jockeys will have to pass 2 fitness tests before the big day, but with the number of event horses Wiggy rides, that surely won’t be a problem! Help Louise raise funds by donating online through her Just Giving page: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Louise-Harwood1
Why not head to Newbury to see the action live and, if you are a BHS member, take advantage of their fantastic entry discounts to enjoy a day out with friends, in the knowledge you’re also helping their vital work across access, safety, welfare and education. Following a delicious lunch, you’ll find yourself in first-class company with legendary Grand National winner Bob Champion as guest speaker. Refreshed and regaled before the rest of the day’s racing, you’ll also have a chance to help raise vital funds for the BHS’s critical work by bidding for money-can’t-buy auction lots.
