The McTimoney College of Chiropractic is delighted to announce the next information evening in their series of free webinars focused on the effective use of the McTimoney approach for animals:
“The role of animal chiropractic in the rehabilitation of injuries”.

Injuries and disease are common in our equine and canine friends resulting in expensive vet bills and long-term care and these injuries can produce movement patterns that do not simply revert to ‘normal’ again post-healing. By understanding how animals compensate for these conditions we can devise the most effective ongoing programme of care for our horses and dogs, including the use of chiropractic care to understand where these compensations are manifesting. McTimoney treatment focuses on achieving symmetry, alleviating compensatory movement patterns, and thereby improving athletic performance.

This webinar brings you the latest research and case studies on how to review animals with compensatory and habitual movement patterns to enable the best quality of ongoing care. Presented by McTimoney Animal Association members and research staff from the McTimoney College of Chiropractic, Dr Emma Punt and Vanessa Davidson.

McTimoney is a form of chiropractic manipulation used to treat pain and dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system. It predominantly focuses on optimising the alignment of the spine and pelvis in order to restore the correct function of the skeletal system, nervous system and surrounding soft tissue. The technique is non-invasive and gentle and is readily accepted by animals. The treatment aims to resolve dysfunction and balance the animal’s musculoskeletal system, restoring health and movement, soundness, and performance.

New, first-of-its-kind, Undergraduate Masters in Veterinary Chiropractic
The McTimoney College of Chiropractic has trained chiropractors for over 50 years and runs both part-time and full-time programmes in chiropractic for animals. For many years, graduates of animal science programmes have been able to continue onto the MSc in Animal Manipulation (Chiropractic) at the college, learning on this fantastic 2-year part-time course to evaluate cases and apply safe and effective chiropractic treatment.
However, the growing demand for more animal chiropractors in practice has led to the recent development of the new Masters in Veterinary Chiropractic for people who do not have a prior degree and as a full-time programme is suited to people who want to achieve an animal chiropractic career in just four years of training.
Applications are currently being taken for the September 2023 intake for the full-time Masters Veterinary Chiropractic and for the January 2024 intake for the part-time MSc Animal Manipulation (Chiropractic).
