McTimoney College of Chiropractic to host the first Animal Chiropractic and Rehabilitation Conference
The McTimoney College of Chiropractic, the leading institution for animal chiropractic care, is pleased to announce its first Animal Chiropractic and Rehabilitation Conference at the McTimoney College, Abingdon, UK on Wednesday 17th April 2024. This conference will showcase the latest research in animal chiropractic care and rehabilitation through platform and poster presentations. The College is inviting abstracts from all animal musculoskeletal disciplines, including veterinary physiotherapy, with relevant new research. Clinical research and case studies are welcomed and will be considered by a peer review committee. Abstracts must be submitted by 2nd January, and successful applicants will be notified. Tickets will be on sale for £30 each from February 2024.
Professor Christina Cunliffe, Principal of the McTimoney College of Chiropractic, says, “There is a wealth of really good research undertaken every year, but this must be peer-reviewed and presented to a wider audience in order for the benefits of increased knowledge to be felt across the industry and profession. As we move towards the wider regulation of animal care in the future, it is important that chiropractic for animals is recognised alongside other approaches. This conference is an ideal opportunity to showcase what research has been done and its implications for animal health and welfare far and wide.”
The McTimoney College of Chiropractic was founded over 50 years ago and is at the forefront of animal chiropractic care, with the only university-validated animal chiropractic qualification in Europe. With training bases in Abingdon, Manchester, Madrid, and Hong Kong, the use of chiropractic care in humans and animals has never been more popular, with demand for new graduates at an all-time high.
